Tickled Pink Fun

I made the following 3 projects for the Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge Guest Call all based on this sketch

I used the following images from Tickled Pink Stamps Lil Lad Stefan, Lil Fashionette 80's Sookie, and Lil Fashionette 60's Willow.  I coloured all my images using my Prismacolor pencils.

Blast From The Past

Welcome to Scrap~tures Retro Road Trip blog hop!!
Thanks so much for joining us! We are very excited show you some scrappy projects from the ‘past’ and hope that you gain lots of inspiration and continue to hop with us!!

If you just happened by this blog and didn't realize a blog hop was taking
place, please go back to Scrap~tures and start the Hop. You won't
want to miss all the inspiration from our team....... or the chance to win a Rak :-)

Here is a layout I did way back in 1999 when I first started scrapbooking.  Look at the sticker sneeze, and the funny shapes, I even used decorative scissors to cut around the pattern paper.
I have some layouts that I have always wanted to redo and this was one of them so I took this opportunity to see what I could come up with.  I used the April card kit and the original pictures and below is what I came up with.  I think it turned out pretty well.

This blog hop will run from today, April15th  – April 17th.  We will be
drawing for winner on April 18th.

Follow along in our blog hop! Your next stop is Tracy

Scrapfest Haul

Headed to Scrapfest in Kitchener today with my friend Tali and we had a blast.  There was so much to see and lots of great deals.  We came home with tons of inspiration and ideas and I got lots of new goodies that I can't wait to play with.  Here's what I came home with (won't be shopping for a long while now)

Okay so I didn't get the big stack of Staples cardstock at Scrapfest.  Thanks Tracy for the tip the Staples 110lb cardstock works wonderfully with my copics.  I also picked up some Neenah paper to try.
 My first Greeting Farm stamps

Got to love Spellbinders.

Colouring Practice

I have been practicing my colouring with my Prismacolor pencils trying out different colour combos for hair and skin.  I thought I would share what I have been working on.  I still have to work on blending more smoothly and the placement of my highlights but I like the colour combos I used for hair and I think I have found a skin colour combo I am happy with.  The digi image is Forever Rose from Crafts and Me and is a great image for practicing colouring with.

Hair: Dark Brown, Light Umber, Putty Beige and Dark Umber
Skin: Light Peach, Peach Beige, Beige Sienna and Pink and Blush Pink on her cheeks
Eyes: Apple Green and Grass Green

I find the skin a bit too dark on this  one but I like the colours used on her cheeks.  The greens are my favourites for green eyes, I love the brightness.

Skin: Light Peach, Peach and 50% French Grey
Hair: Jasmine, Yellow Ochre, Goldenrod, Chocolate (shadow)
Eyes: Carribean Sea and Blue Lake

I don't like the French Grey for the shadow, too much contrast.  The yellows allow for a nice golden blonde hair colour.  Not my favourite combo for blue eyes, they aren't bright enough.

Skin: Seashell Pink, Peach, Biege Sienna
Hair: Goldenrod, Mineral Orange, Pumpkin Orange, and Burnt Ochre
Eyes: Light Umber and Chocolate

I love this hair colour, it has to be one of my favourites.  I like the skin colour combo and the eyes on this one.

Skin: Seashell Pink, Peach, Beige Sienna
Hair: Black, 90%, 70%, 50% Cool Grey and Blue Violet
Eyes: Peacock Blue and Non Photo Blue

I find black hair really difficult to colour but I think it turned out pretty well and I like my placement of the highlights on this one.  I really like the blues I used for her eyes.

I did blend all my colouring with blending stumps and odourless mineral spirits.  If you have any helpful tips of suggestions I would love to hear them.
